I bought this as a replacement for my 473v remote on a gamble that it would work. The 473v is a three button remote with one button for arming and disarming while the 7141v has a button devoted solely to arming/locking the vehicle and one for disarming. The replacement came with instructions and I had no problems pairing it with the alarm. Depending on which button is depressed during pairing either the "lock" or "unlock" button will function to arm and disarm the alarm. This mean it still functions as a three button alarm remote. I am pleased with the remote and believe that it has added an element of sexy to my ride.

Just thought Id let everyone know this does work with the Viper 571xv. This seems a little more durable than my original two way remote, but this one could still be better, range seems about the same or possibly slightly better.

You can not beat the price for it and plus it's free shipping. It is very easy to link it to your cars alarm system. Best buy for this product.
