Viper 5701 Pink 2 Way security w/ R.Start Pink

This remote start system was purchased a year ago and is still working fine. However, the 2-way remote stopped working within the first month. I changed the battery, but it still did not work for long. I took it to an authorized dealer and the technician said that all of the pink 2-way remotes were defective. By that time, it was past the deadline for warranty. So I can only use the one-way remote.

i bought for wife, cause of the viper reputation, and beautiful remotes.
but REMOTE FELL APART AFTER very light use (plastic ring broke), rest I cant say... 1 month of use only. by the way remote is 169 dollars , nothing to sneeze at.

I bought Viper 5900 and then recently 5701. The 5900 has a bad connection issue. After 2 days of installation (by professional person).. it worked to lock/unlock the door however it didn't work to autostart the car. Went back to the installer, he showed me a bad connection. When the connection at the starter( not in wiring). When the connection was good, the auto-starter worked but as soon as he shook the controller it stopped. Luckily he was manager to put it in my car in such as way that it works now.

About 5701 - Pink.. Just bought it. It is installed in 97 Toyota corolla. It works to unlock/lock the door. Auto starter doesn't work. I bought Viper both times thinking that it's backed by Directed Electronics. However totally disappointed. Hope this review helps the buyers.
