Comment: I bought this to go with my Bulldog security 500 model remote starter. While I did have the plastic clip breakage opening the unit it was easily fixed. Unless you have a vehicle that requires the use of the transponder loop you shouldn't even need to open this anyway. Programming the passlock 2 key code into it was easier than I had dreamed and the car started right up. The biggest problem I had with the unit was splicing the passlock wires on the cylinder. If you're new to electronics I recomend having a remote starter professionally installed. If you know what you're doing (do a lot of self auto repair / you're a mechanic) then go for it!

Comment: This module works great!. Installed and up and running in about 15 minutes. My advice is to fully understand the instructions PRIOR to starting. There is one wire on the bypass module that needs to be connected to the Remote Starter module... Instructions were not that clear. Had to refer to the Remote Starter diagram to confirm.

Summary: Can't use with Audi fobs 2009-12-07
Comment: I purchased this to install in an 02 Audi A6. The Audi key fob is large and will not fit in this unit. You'll need to buy a smaller valet key from Audi to make this work. I suspect VW's are the same.
Note that the transponder receiver is on very stiff and brittle wires which break easily - when I decided to use this on my Subaru instead, they broke, and I had to buy another unit.
Next time I'm buying something locally and having it installed.
