I purchased this as a second remote for a Ready Remote system I purchased at an Advance Auto Store. The Ready Remote starter was a great bargain at 80 bucks and worked like a dream. The only down fall was it only had one remote. Once I found that Viper and several others were all made by Directed Electronics I took a chance the remote would be the same. Well, it looked the same so maybe it would also work. Well it worked great since the Ready Remote learns the code. That is only half the secret, the other half is that the remote works around 1000' and through block and steel walls. The price and distance is amazing!
