This is not a simple Bosch type relay. There are a variety of ways to wire it to accomplish a variety of tasks on vehicles, and the only real wiring options have to be found on blog sites. It seems to be a product for hobbyists and professionals, so it would be good to have some knowledge of electric circuitry. Aside from that, the set delay time is only repeatable if there is a significant time gap between input signals, on the order of a minute or more in my experience; otherwise the delay continuously shortens until it gets very erratic. So it may not be useful in applications that involve relatively short on/off flashing, like turn signals or some marine lights. It worked erratically with the signal coming from another solid state delay-generating circuit. It does seem to work fine on once-and-done applications like engine start and door entry/exit delays. It worked without malfunction on a car, encased in a dry box, as long as installed (several months).

This little relay works well, although it's only been installed in my truck for a few hours. I used it as part of a kill switch install. It is a no-name part with really minimal documentation, but then again it's only $13.

Note however that the product description on Amazon is wrong--this is actually only a 15 amp relay, NOT 30 amps as advertised. Not an issue for me as I'm using it in a low current application, but watch out or use it along with a beefier relay if you need to run serious current.

It has been installed for over two months and it works great. If you have a diesel and want a remote start for the winter. you will NEED this item.
