Powerful Triple Sensor Protection
Although the Gorilla 7007 is one of the most compact motorcycle alarm products on the market, it is also one of the most effective, thanks to the strength and flexibility of its three built-in sensors. These include tilt, shock and current sensors. The tilt sensor, set while your motorcycle is at rest with its kickstand down, is designed to alert you when it is pulled upright while the alarm is set. The 7007's two-stage shock sensor monitors any disturbance, jolt or impact to the motorcycle, indicating a light disturbance with a single sonic chirp, and stronger disturbances with an alarm for a full 30 seconds. Finally, the current sensor scans for anomalies in the electrical system that can occur, for example during a hot-wiring attempt, activating the siren in those cases.

This review is from: Gorilla Automotive 7007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter (Automotive) I bought the first gorilla alarm last summer for my 2003 Honda 750 ACE,Bought the second for our 2004 Honda Sabre 1100 about a month ago. the second one took less time to install, but both were easy, most time was deciding where to instal. I like the feature giving me the option to deactivate the motion sensor if it is really windy. The only thing that I haven't been able to do is change the alarm siren to one sound rather than it cycling thru all five sounds, probably just me not doing it correctly. All in all I think the service making the purchase and the alarm performance is excellent 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Feduke (Florida) - See all my reviews This review is from: Gorilla Automotive 7007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter (Automotive) I bought this 7007 alarm and installed it in about a half hour. It is fantastic. It does everything it claims extremely well and I was most impressed with it. The sound is actually painful, and that's good. Now, a word of caution. I had a hell of a time finding a place to mount it on my Triumph Thunderbird. Under the seat and side covers is impossible. There is just no room. Their next suggestion was in the tail section or under the rear fender. I found a spot finally up forward and inside the rear fender on the side, near the seat. This left at least 2 inches of clearance from the side of the tire so I didn't have to worry about it being hit during a ride over a big bump. They provide screws and bolts, a metal bracket and velcro for mounting. Not wanting to drill holes in my fender I cleaned the inside surface of the fender and the back of the alarm module with alcohol and then applied the self adhesive velcro to both. I guess I didn't wait long enough for it to cure but...Read more 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Gorilla Automotive 7007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter (Automotive) Great product! I installed this one in my FZ6R since I need to leave it at a lightrail station. So far so good... sometimes it is very sensitive, while other time it is as dull as a hammer... A light touch can give a warning sound... Other time, I can rock the handlebar without setting off the alarm. But it's only the shocking sensor... Tilt and electrical disturbance always set off the alarm.
I got an alarm set-off in one day... probably some dudes wanted to check out the bike and it went off. I came home and the alarm told me it was set-off by shock! Really neat... Definitely worth the 56$... Great price great product! |
