I purchased this card, because my internal wi-fi card on a h.p. laptop failed.
Initially it did not work, I had to download the 64-bit windows 7 drivers to make it work in windows. I also run linux .....I had trouble getting it to work there.
All the trouble aside, this product plugs into you expresscard slot, barely sticks out and is out of the way.
I get good signal, however the card gets pretty hot after an hour or so.

My 92 25th Anniversary Camaro just died. Had to push it into the garage. Turned out to be the VATS. My key
measured 4.4KOhms. Bought this product, found the one that measured 4.4KOhms, then used it to bypass
the VATS. With my car its was an Orange tube under the dash with two wires. This tiny part save my car!
I installed a dead switch which now acts as my VATS.
