Seller shipped a brand-new remote, it looks identical to the "APS2K4SAW" except for the faux carbon fiber paint job... this remote's finish has a bit more a blueish. Once it received it, I took it out to the car and synced it to the car alarm in minutes. The remote I received IS NOT GREY, but if this is something important to you it can be scuffed with some abrasive to remove the painted on finish but why bother. Just use it until it shows signs of wear, then consider doing cosmetic modifications. Glad to see Amazon has options for less than the sixty something the Audiovox/Prestige suggests for these cheap things. Very happy with this purchase.

DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS PIECE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. EASY TO INSTALL WORKS WELL AND ALL FEATURES ARE GREAT.
