I'll start off by saying I have an electronics background and have installed other remote car starters before and the features on this unit rate 5 stars for sure.
The installation instructions on the other hand leave a lot to be desired. Zero information on vehicle wire colors I got those on line from another manufacturer.
I installed this on my 2006 Ford F350XL Super Duty Turbo Diesel. No power door locks, no security system.
This remote start is perfect for me.
A start up delay can be programmed for glow plug warm up.
A cool down delay can be programmed to keep the vehicle running after you stop to cool down the Turbo.
It can be programmed to start up ever 2 or three hours on its own.
You have control over pretty much everything you need to.
It also has an input for a switch to enable the unit and start the vehicle without the key in it (just like if you had used the remote)

I was excited to receive this for my adult daughter and have it installed in her car but installation was way too technical for a ordinary customer.
All of the illustrations and directions require someone with an extensive car wiring background. I returned the item.
