679T VIPER CLIFFORD PYTHON Responder Replacement Remote Clip/Holster

The original holster that came with my Viper alarm lasted about 6 months. It too was just made of cheap plastic. This replacement one, seemed even cheaper and lasted 2 days! The weakest parts are the two holes on each side that the metal pin goes through so it can open & close. That plastic clip is worthless as far as strength and durability goes. Not worth the few bucks that it costs. problem is, I don't know what to replace it with that would last!

I enjoy this clip because after you attach it to your responder, you can quickly clip it on and off of your belt. However, Directed Electronics needs to redesign this product OR make a metal clip instead.

I am always running around town and use this clip quite often and it ALWAYS breaks for one reason or another. I have ordered at LEAST 3 or 4 of these online because of the convenience that it provides me. However, each one of them keep breaking at the same spot which is the point behind the hinge. I have searched for an alternative to this clip but have yet to find one so for now, I keep the responder in my pocket.

My wife has a viper alarm on her truck and the clips were broken. No one in the city carries these things and they couldn't find them anywhere. Once again amazon came to the rescue. Perfect and the shipping was quick.
