HIGH SECURITY 'CHIP KEY' - By now, most people know their vehicle's high-tech keys are expensive at the car dealers- Now, you can get high-tech keys from us at a fraction of the cost. How does the high-tech key work? The key contains a tiny embedded electronic chip called a transponder. Each transponder has its own unique code--it's the key's 'fingerprint'. When the key is inserted into the ignition and turned, the transponder is energized and broadcasts its unique code to the car's receiver in the dashboard. If the car's receiver recognizes the code, it will allow the car to start.

This is my second purchase of uncut transponder keys for my Dodge Caravan from this seller. After checking Amazon reviews and doing some online research, I made my first purchase of 2 keys to make sure they would work. The keys arrived timely, and after taking them to a local locksmith to be cut, using my two original keys, I followed the step by step instructions provided by the seller to program all of the keys. All keys purchased can be used to manually unlock the car (I didn't buy keys with the fancy automatic door buttons), and all can be used in the ignition to start the car - and no alarms go off. These were just what I needed at a great savings compared to purchasing keys from the dealer. I would highly recommend.

I talked with a dealer about this key and programming it because we only have 1 working key left because of the BAD design by Chrysler.
He said that you can get the key programmed, but every time you use the key to unlock the door the alarm in the car will go off
until you start the engine. A replacement key with remote keyless entry is $180. Which solution is worse?
