Emailed Discounted Parts if this key was 4c or 4d transponder key and if I have the Toyota Smart key programmer, will it able to program this key,
but no response in over a week.
Not sure if this key is a 4c or 4d transponder key.
Pretty sure it's a 4c, b/c it doesn't have a dot near the base of the metal part of the key.
Researched a lot about making my own keys and probably have to take it to a locksmith.
Toyota dealer will charge for programming it $150 plus tax. Other locksmiths usually charge around $75.
I'm going to order the 4c / 4d Toyota transponder key programmer off amazon from Hong Kong, and see if this works.
Let you know how it turns out in a month.
