HIGH SECURITY 'CHIP KEY' - By now, most people know their vehicle's high-tech keys are expensive at the car dealers- Now, you can get high-tech keys from us at a fraction of the cost. How does the high-tech key work? The key contains a tiny embedded electronic chip called a transponder. Each transponder has its own unique code--it's the key's 'fingerprint'. When the key is inserted into the ignition and turned, the transponder is energized and broadcasts its unique code to the car's receiver in the dashboard. If the car's receiver recognizes the code, it will allow the car to start.

This review is from: 2002 02 Honda Accord Uncut Transponder Key
I ordered 2 keys so that I could make copies at my local Honda dealership for my 2002 Honda Accord Ex. The first key was not able to be programed, but was able to be cut. The Honda guy said that the chip was not being recognized properly or is just broken. Key number two was able to be programed, but was slightly larger than the normal key that they could cut properly at the dealership...so 0 for 2. I ended up just buying a real Honda key for $40 and having them program and cut from my master key.
